Dr. Jins Jacob
Airway Focused Dentist
Dr. Jins Jacob is deeply passionate about airway focussed dentistry particularly in utilising the latest scientific and technological advancements to enhance his patients’ overall well-being.
Dr. Jacob has been practicing in western Victoria since 2007 and has established two of the leading dental practices in Ballarat in 2011 and 2017.In 2011, he earned his Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Implants) from Melbourne University. Dr. Jacob also holds a Master of Public Health degree from Deakin University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clear Aligner Therapy from City Dental School, London. Dr. Jacob has also pursued additional training in Australia and overseas in early intervention and aligner orthodontics and airway focussed dentistry.
Dr. Jacob was also honoured with a Fellowship from the International Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics (IADFE, New York), an invitation-only distinction extended to professionals who have excelled in dentistry, medicine, or the cosmetics/dental industry. Dr. Jacob is also an Associate Fellow of World Clinical Laser Institute. In 2025, Dr. Jacob received his fellowship from the Pierre Fauchard Academy, another invitation-only distinction extended to professionals who have made outstanding contributions to the progress and standing of the dental profession internationally.
Dr. Jacob has been an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and Australasian Osseointegration society. Dr. Jacob is also actively involved in teaching dental students at Latrobe University.
Dr. Jacob believes in personalised care, acknowledging each patient’s unique background, health, and social factors. He Enjoys ensuring a collaborative and holistic approach given to all his patients.
His aspiration to establish Ballarat’s first airway focussed dental practice led to the inception of Sovereign Dental and Myofunctional Orthodontic Centre. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jacob is an avid sports enthusiast with a particular passion for cricket,AFL and Soccer. He enjoys spending time with his wife Elizabeth and four children.
